The CDTI building – later transformed into "HUB - UEA Technology and Innovation" – was created to support industries and new companies in Amazonas, contributing to the economic development of the region. Built with resources from the Amazonas State Research Support Foundation (Fapeam), through the Support Program for the Consolidation of Teaching and Research Institutions - Pro-State, in partnership with the Financier of Studies and Projects (Finep), it received the Procel seal, with a Triple A rating and a grade 6, which is the maximum grade in energy efficiency issued by Inmetro for buildings, being the first building in Amazonas with the aforementioned Seal .

Procel is an initiative of the Brazilian Center for Energy Efficiency Information, which evaluates three items in relation to buildings: lighting, envelope and air conditioning. The space works with technological development in all areas of Engineering, being designed with a different concept from the standardization of types of public institutions and with limited financial resources.

It has stormwater reuse solutions for flushing toilets and garden faucets. It also includes an energy generation system with a solar panel for the use of lighting for the circulation area and efficient equipment for the HVAC system.
